WHY

The Audacious Foundation recognizes the value and importance of high-quality early childhood education on our collective future. This retreat is designed to celebrate the leaders and teachers involved, and to provide opportunities to connect, collaborate, and gather resources - all at no cost to the participants.

PAST RETREATS

The Audacious Foundation is pleased to have sponsored retreats for Santa Barbara County early childhood professionals for over a decade. Participants are given the opportunity to:

Connect with other directors, teachers, and administrators for on-going support after the event
Learn from hands-on workshops and dynamic speakers
Participate in the Best Practices Handbook contest
Tour high-quality model centers
Relax with yoga and wellness sessions
Enjoy two fun evening events

INSPIRING MODEL CENTER TOURS

A key component of the Retreat is the opportunity to tour model ECE programs that are providing innovative, high quality early education. During the Retreat, we will visit local high-quality centers for inspiration and fresh ideas.

SHARED BEST ECE PRACTICES

Another highly useful tool provided at the Retreat is the Best Practices Handbook that every year highlights 50+ innovative ideas from participating centers that teachers and directors can take back to share with their team.

COSTS

The Retreat is being underwritten by the Audacious Foundation including all content, all meals, two fun evenings, and a shared hotel room for two nights.

All that attendees need to provide is their own transportation to and from the hotel, and an emailed page describing a Best Practice from their program to share with fellow attendees in the Best Practices Handbook. More information will be provided to attendees to make this step easy.
