Note: Our philanthropy does not include an open application process and we do not respond to unsolicited proposals. We do, however, encourage others to invest in our adopted schools.

“A whole child comes to school each day; not just the test-taking parts.”

We begin where academics end.
The Santa Barbara based Audacious Foundation wants low-income children to have the freedom to be kids, provided with a complete learning experience for the whole child.
COVID-19 Update: Audacious Foundation is working with local partners to respond to Santa Barbara County’s critical needs during this crisis, including the need for childcare for hospital workers, first responders, and essential services staff (such as those involved in food distribution). United Way of Santa Barbara County is acting as the lead for processing all COVID-19 response requests, and as such all grant inquiries must be made directly to the United Way. Please see the United Way COVID-19 Joint Response Grants page for more information or to apply. Unfortunately, Audacious Foundation does not have capacity to reply to any individual inquiries. We are trying to allocate all resources in a unified fashion across the county and are grateful that this community is coming together to support quickly evolving needs in these incomprehensible times.
Our approach is to fund active, non-academic programs at high-need schools led by audacious principals embracing a whole-child philosophy. We are a no-frills charity with low overhead and high standards:
• Proven Programs
• Simple Execution
• Minimal Reporting
